“In no other way can the believer become as fully involved with God’s work, especially the work of world evangelism, as in intercessory prayer.”
                              — Dick Eastman, president of America’s National Prayer Committee
Prayer

Prayer is the one resource we have as followers of Christ committed to the completion of the great commission that is truly without borders.  It is the work that travels from everywhere to everywhere.  It is not bound by time or location and as Samuel Zwemer so aptly pointed out, "the history of missions is the history of answered prayer."

Mobilizing prayer is then an important work with eternal significance.  With today's article we want to share a few resources to help your church pray more for the nations so that you can better partner with our missionary God through prayer.
“We can reach our world, if we will. The greatest lack today is not people or funds. The greatest need is prayer.”
        — Wesley Duewel, head of OMS International
PRAYERCAST:  Prayercast creates fantastic 3-4 minute videos that could be used on a Sunday morning, in small group settings or sent out to individuals in your church.  They are powerful videos that feature a video montage of the country or topic and then a believer from that nation praying - often in their language with translation.  Each video ends with 3-4 specific prayer points.    >>> LEARN MORE

Prayer needs no passport, visa or work permit. There is no such thing as a ‘closed country’ as far as prayer is concerned … much of the history of mission could be written in terms of God moving in response to persistent prayer.”
      — Stephan Gaukroger, British philosopher and historian
15 DAYS OF PRAYER:  Following the lead of the 30 day guides for the Muslim world, 15 day prayer guides for both the Hindu and Buddhist worlds were recently created and released.  These all are put out at different times on the calendar year and so a church could easily pray through all three.

We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.
                                                --John Stott

These are but four simple resources to mobilize more prayer from your congregation.  But they will mobilize nothing if you don't take them and share them with others and invite others to join you in using them to pray for the nations.

Will you join the Everywhere to Everywhere community in mobilizing more prayer?
