A World Cup Church Engagement Resource

A practical and interactive resource to help churches use the World Cup to inspire prayer, learning, and gospel engagement among the nations.

Last month I shared ways churches can use this summer’s World Cup to help their congregations learn, pray, and engage missionally. Today, I want to highlight a specific resource designed to help mission pastors and committees create fun, interactive ways for their churches to explore the 48 participating nations.

My hope is that this resource will increase awareness, fuel prayer, and deepen your congregation’s understanding of God’s heart for the nations.

The World Cup Teams Prayer Guide is a free downloadable PDF. It includes a one-page overview for each of the 48 teams coming to Canada, the U.S., and Mexico this June.

Each team’s page includes:

The guide also includes a handful of practical ideas for how to use these pages with your congregation. Think of these as starting points—you may find even more creative ways to engage your church. The goal is simple: create a fun, interactive connection to the nations that stirs prayer, generosity, and a willingness to go.
