A practical and interactive resource to help churches use the World Cup to inspire prayer, learning, and gospel engagement among the nations.

By Aaron Myers

Last month I shared ways churches can use this summer’s World Cup to help their congregations learn, pray, and engage missionally. Today, I want to highlight a specific resource designed to help mission pastors and committees create fun, interactive ways for their churches to explore the 48 participating nations.

My hope is that this resource will increase awareness, fuel prayer, and deepen your congregation’s understanding of God’s heart for the nations.

The World Cup Teams Prayer Guide is a free downloadable PDF. It includes a one-page overview for each of the 48 teams coming to Canada, the U.S., and Mexico this June.

Each team’s page includes:
  • Country name and flag
  • World map showing location
  • Key demographic information
  • Two fun facts
  • Three prayer points (via Prayercast)
  • QR code to the Prayercast video
  • QR code to the Joshua Project page
  • QR code to the FIFA team page

The guide also includes a handful of practical ideas for how to use these pages with your congregation. Think of these as starting points—you may find even more creative ways to engage your church. The goal is simple: create a fun, interactive connection to the nations that stirs prayer, generosity, and a willingness to go.

Download the guide today and begin planning how your church can engage the nations during the World Cup this June and July—through learning, prayer, and meaningful outreach.
We’d love to all learn from one another so please let us know how you are using the resource in the comments below.

Thank You.
