A Discipleship Study for the Digital Age
|
Technology shapes our lives. What does it mean to follow Jesus in a world shaped by screens?
Whether it's in your pocket or on your desk, technology is everywhere—and it’s changing how we live, think, and even how we relate to God and one another. Christians and Technology is an 8-session discipleship study that invites your group to explore how we can use technology in ways that honor God and help us grow as followers of Christ. This isn’t just a study about screens or smartphones—it’s about spiritual formation. It's about becoming more like Jesus in a digital world. |

Hi, I’m Aaron Myers, and beside writing at the Everywhere to Everywhere blog, I serve as the Director of Digital Outreach with Crescent Project, a ministry focused on equipping Christians to share the hope of Jesus with Muslims. In that role, I encourage believers to go online to minister and reach out to the lost—using the digital tools of our day to fulfill the Great Commission.
But I’ll be honest: I’ve often wrestled with the tension of sending people into online spaces—places so often filled with distraction, division, and confusion. I’ve wanted to do my job well, to honor God in this digital calling, and to help others do the same. That’s led me to read, reflect, pray, and learn everything I can about how to live faithfully—even when surrounded by the noise and pull of technology. This study is the fruit of that journey. It was born out of real conversations, personal wrestling, and a deep desire to help believers live as intentional disciples in a digital world. My prayer is that this journey sparks honest dialogue, deeper insight, and a greater love for Christ as we learn to follow Him—even with a phone in our pocket. |
