Strangers No More Cross Cultural Training

Strangers No More is a half-day interactive training that will help you develop gospel-shaped curiosity, compassion, and confidence for local cross-cultural friendship and ministry. In a world where the nations have come to our neighborhoods—through immigrants, refugees, international students, and others—we must not allow them to remain strangers.

One of the great challenges we face as Christians in an increasingly globalized world is understanding how to share the love of Jesus and the good news of the gospel cross-culturally.

This training will equip you to welcome and witness to the world at your doorstep and learn to love them like Jesus. From the classroom to the neighborhood, we will learn together.

Strangers No More Training Module is a fun, interactive and engaging experience, which can be done in any city in about 5-6 hours, includes:
  • A Small Group Bible Study on the Father's Heart for the Nations
  • Interactive lectures and activities in cross-cultural ministry
  • A cross-cultural scavenger hunt, where participants visit three to four immigrant-owned grocery stores
  • Lunch at an ethnic restaurant
  • A debrief session, enjoying snacks purchased during the scavenger hunt​
This training has been a powerful way to help local congregations move beyond fear and build relationships with their new American neighbors—many of whom come from Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or Animistic backgrounds and have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel.

The goal of the training is to:

  • Raise awareness of the diverse cultures around us
  • Provide a foundational understanding of cultural differences
  • Empower participants with ministry skills that will allow them to reach out to the nations around them


Strangers No More is for church groups, youth groups or small groups of any size.
